Ok, the brand name threw me off a bit: Beachbody. I am not looking for a beach body (though now I think I may just get there), but just to look better in clothes and a one-piece bathing suit. I've seen several of my friends using certain Beachbody workout programs, so I finally started asking and I'm so glad I did...it's a pretty great life changer!!
So not to put down other programs, but I've done a lot and have learned there is no quick fix. You have to put effort into losing weight, but it always help when you start seeing the results quickly to keep ya going, right?
The 21 Day Fix has been just that program...3 weeks!!! Within the first week you will see changes, but by week 3 you will be amazed. I'm 10lbs down and a total of 9.75 inches lost. I'm so excited because I can keep this up, it's doable!! The workouts are fun and quick...30 minutes! The eating plan makes sense. No counting calories, but more of learning portion control and the right foods to eat to keep you full and give you energy. So I told myself, "do it right for 3 weeks and if you don't see results or you're not happy then go back to what you were doing." Well before the 21 days was up, I was hooked.
I also incorporated Shakeology. You don't have to use it, but give it a chance...it's good and there are tons of recipes to make its taste sooooo yummy. I, for one, add spinach to get a serving of veggies in without even thinking about it.
So here's my results:
